Turkish Wedding Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lentil
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Large Onion
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 Tsp Cayenne
  • 1 Tsp Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Coriander
  • 2 Cup Tomato
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp Mint


Directions

saute onion, garlic with cayenne and coriander in butter until onions are soft. add lentil and 8 cups of water. cook until lentils are soft according to package directions. halfway through cooking process add tomatoes and tomato paste. shortly before serving add lemon juice and bring to boil. add mint. cook for 10 more minutes.
