Ingredients

  • 0.25 Cup Rice
  • 10 Cup Water
  • 0.5 lb Boneless Pork
  • 1 Bamboo Shoot
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Shrimp Paste
  • 2 Tbsp Shrimp Sauce
  • 1 Inch Ginger
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 0.5 Tsp Turmeric
  • 0.5 Tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 Tsp Pepper


Directions

Toast the rice in a dry skillet over moderate low heat until light brown. Break up rice coarsely with food processor. Bring the water to a boil in a large pan. Add all ingredients. Cook for 30 minutes over medium high heat. Serve hot as a soup. It may also be eaten as a sauce poured over plain rice.
