Spiced Lamb Balls (Burkina Faso)

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Onion
  • 0.5 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Coriander
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 lb Lamb
  • 3 Large Egg
  • 0.25 Cup Bread Crumb
  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 2 Tbsp Peri Peri Sauce


Directions

Saute onion, cinnamon, ginger, garlic powder, red pepper, coriander and salt in oil until the onion is soft. Cool and combine with ground lamb. Add eggs and crumbs. Mix well. Form into small meatballs. Chill for 1 hour. Bake or saute until browned. Serve over rice, drizzled with peri peri sauce.
