Mix all ingredients together with 1/2 cup of the water. Marinate for 15 minutes. Bring to a boil. Cook in a covered pan over moderate heat for 20 minutes. Add remaining water, Return to a boil. Cook covered over moderate heat for 45 minutes. The sauce will reduce to about 1 cup. serve with rice.`
