Combine chicken, stock, celery, carrot, onion, parsley and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add split peas and simmer for 20 minutes. Saute leeks in oil for 10 minutes. Add to soup along with beans. Add zucchini and cabbage or swiss chard. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add rice, salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes. Combine basil and garlic in blender and puree. Add to soup and serve. Pass the cheese.
