Drain beans, rinse well and simmer in salted water, covered for 1 hour. Meanwhile saute bacon and sausage until done. Remove bacon and sausage. Set aside. To the bacon oil, if there is not enough oil add enough to make about 2 tablespoons. Saute onion, garlic and bell pepper for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes cinnamon, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook covered fro 10 minutes. Add sausage and bacon. Drain chickpeas, reserving 2 cups liquid. Put chickpeas in a 13 inch baking dish. Spoon in tomato sauce. Moisten with cooking liquid. Season with salt and pepper. Cover the dish and bake in oven for 1 1/2 hours. Serve.
