Chunky Tunisian Fish Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Medium Onion
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Medium Bell Pepper
  • 1 Salt
  • 1 Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Harissa
  • 0.25 Tsp Saffron
  • 0.5 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 0.5 Tsp Cumin
  • 1 Medium Fennel Bulb
  • 2 Large Potato
  • 1 Lemon Lemon Juice
  • 6 Cup Fish Broth
  • 4 lb Fish
  • 4 Medium Tomato
  • 1 Bunch Cilantro
  • 1 Bunch Parsley


Directions

Heat oil in saucepan and saute the onion until well browned. Add garlic and red pepper. Saute for 3 minutes. Add Harissa, spices, fennel, potatoes, lemon juice and broth. Boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add fish, tomatoes, herbs, seasonings and more broth if necessary. Serve with bread.
